The Environment and Food Committee at Asharqia Chamber reviewed the list of activities that intends to implement during the remaining months of 2018 and a new plan of action for the coming year 2019.
This meeting was held by the Committee, and chaired by Talal Al-Rasheed on Tuesday (September 11, 2018). It took place at the Chamber's headquarter in Dammam.
At the meeting, the Committee identified a number of activities that to be implemented by the Committee in the coming period with officials of the Presidency of Meteorology and Environment, and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in order to meet investors and interested parties, in addition to holding a meeting with the Agricultural Development Fund in the Eastern Province to introduce the objectives of the Fund and the services it provides.
In this regard, the Committee intends to implement a number of workshops during the coming year 2019, including an awareness workshop on environmental protection and a definition of investment in hydroponics.
The committee also reviewed its participation with the Eastern Region Secretariat "Amana" and related parties on the initiative "we grow it to enjoy it".
